In the afternoon, glide across the shimmering waters of Lake Naivasha on a tranquil boat safari led by a resident bird expert. Spot elegant pink-backed pelicans, the towering goliath heron, and the striking saddle-billed stork. After your boat ride, step onto Crescent Island for a guided walking safari — one of the few places in Kenya where you can walk safely among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Arrive at your tented camp inside the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Later, head out for your first game drive in this world-famous reserve, home to the Big 5 and the Great Migration. With your expert guide, search for lions lounging in the grass, elephants moving through acacia trees, and cheetahs scanning the plains. As the golden light sets over the savannah, return to camp for dinner and a restful night.

Wake early for breakfast before setting off on a full-day safari across the Masai Mara plains.
